The starters have been revealed. Congratulations to the leaders in votes!
Despite some players not wanting to play in the All Star game, here's hoping that the draft will still push through. In the last two years, this has been an interesting aspect to watch as the captains select the players that they want in their team. Last year's starters draft was boring with the players playing for their respective conference (seriously, Giannis needs to draft better).
Here's a quick prediction on how the starters draft is going to go. A caveat: I'm still not aware on who will pick first so I'll end up with two scenarios.
If James picks first, the pick will be Antetokounmpo. I expect Durant to pick teammate Irving first.
The next expected pick to go would be Embiid (a center is still a center and is an important position still). The next team will be forced to select Jokic (no other center left).
Next pick would most likely be Leonard (annoying defensive stopper and the captains will not want to play against Kawhi). This will be followed by Curry.
Last two players remaining would be Beal and Doncic and this would be a tossup.
